In honor of Valentine's Day, the McKamey Animal Center is organizing its first-ever Four-Legged Speed-Dating event, giving animal lovers the chance to meet homeless dogs and cats in hopes of making a forever match. The event kicks off on Saturday, February 11th at the McKamey Animal Center from 10 a. McKamey matchmakers will be assisting prospective pet owners as they go through the speed-dating process, allowing them eight minutes per animal to speed-date their way to the love of their life. There will be dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and even a pig up for adoption. The special adoption fees will be in effect Saturday, February through Valentine's Day. The speed-dating is only on Saturday. All animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed, and are micro-chipped prior to adoption. The quick meet-and-greet style of this event is a great way for pet-seekers to figure out immediately if a dog or cat is right for them. The exposure this event gives the center will bring more attention to the 200 animals who need homes. McKamey's goal is to make sure that happens.
